'Red-Bud and Wild Plum' Oil on canvas, 30" x 40" 1928 Texas Wildflower Competitive Exhibition Awarded Seventh prize, Group 1: 'Texas Wildflowers' (open division)   Red-Bud and Wild Plum is not a typical wildflower painting, in that we see trees in bloom and beautiful white and pinks, while the earth is still brown from the winter chill. Clark carried the colors of the midground trees into the background with faint touches of color.
