Thank you so much for agreeing to act as a Juror for the San Antonio Art League's Artist of the Year for 2026. We've chosen an Artist of the Year since 1945 from three finalists selected by a special committee. Those finalists' portfolios are then evaluated online by three out-of-state jurors who may be curators, artists, or art academicians.
Please review each artist’s material, provide a critique of their work and assign a rank of 1, 2 or 3; Number 1 being the artist you feel most deserving of the Artist of the Year honor. Please consider originality, consistency, innovation and execution in your critique of the work. In addition there is always that intangible “passion” to consider. You may send your rankings and comments as a Word/PDF attachment to Elaine and Lyn. We would like your critique and ranking of the three artists by Wednesday October 15th. As soon as your response is received we will process your honorarium of $250.00.
Gratefully,
Elaine Bornemeier, Chair
Lyn Belisle, President
