ABOUT SUSIE MONDAY:

The San Antonio Art League + Museum  is proud to name fiber artist Susie Monday as its 2025 Artist of the Year. Established in 1946, this honor recognizes outstanding contributions to the arts across diverse mediums. Monday’s selection by three national and international jurors marks a milestone, bringing the vibrant field of fiber art into the spotlight.

Her work explores themes of place, identity, and imagination, using textiles, intricate stitching, and mixed media. Known for her bold color and texture, Monday reflects the natural and cultural landscapes of Texas while elevating fiber art and inspiring artists across the community.
