Will you donate a Little Piece of Texas?

What does a little piece of Texas look like to you? Now’s your chance to show us through your artwork!

As you may know, SAALM is hosting a TriCentennial celebration of the Edgar B. Davis Wildflower collection. The June 8th fundraising event will include live music, refreshments and libations, and an informal lecture about our collection by William Reaves, author of “A Wildcatter’s Dream.”

As an enticing feature of that June 8th fundraiser, we’re asking SAALM member artists to donate a small piece of art to our Little Piece of Texas silent art auction. Here’s the deal.

• Works may be in any medium, but must be no larger than 11x14”.
• Each donor artist’s name will be included in the catalog and the artist will be eligible to list the San Antonio Art League & Museum’s “Little Piece of Texas” exhibit and sale on their art resume.
• We will feature the donated work on our website and on Facebook.
• All bids will start at $50 and go up from there. Artists may set their own retail value on their piece, which will encourage good bidding. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the San Antonio Art League and Museum – we get the money, you get the fun!
