WORKSHOP: MARBLED PAPER - ANCIENT TECHNIQUE, EXCITING RESULTS

This 2-hour workshop will explore the history and origins of marbled paper. This ancient technique has been used for centuries around the world. Delicate, swirled patterns using inks and paints on a water surface will transfer to paper. Students will create a variety a marbled papers and will take home a box and a book. All materials will be provided.

- 2:00 - Registration
- 2:15 –Introduction to materials
- 2:30-3:45 - Work time
- 3:35-4:00 - Critique, photographs of the work, and workshop evaluation
- All paper marbeling supplies, examples, resource material
- A cell phone with camera if available (optional)
