What items can you donate to our Mid-Century Objects Gallery? These fun and interesting objects will comprise the Silent Auction segment of our Preview Party.
Here are some guidelines:

Collectible mid-century modern objects had an atomic feel that transformed ordinary geometric shapes into curves and waves. Or, they may have had a Brutalist look about them with jagged edges and an artsy roughness.  Atomic and boomerang patterns, ethnic prints and starburst patterns showed up on everything from glassware to wallpaper. Glazed decorative pottery graced coffee tables and hi-fi cabinets. Pillows and drapery were woven from heavy synthetic fabrics and featured contemporary and ethnic-type patterns.

If you have contributions that fit the Mid-Century concept, bring them to the Art League Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The volunteer docent will gladly accept your contribution and ask you to fill out a little card with your name and a short history of the object. All donors will be featured on the Preview Party program!
