The Julian Onderdonk Memorial Purchase Prize
Every year, hundreds of artists across the state of Texas submit paintings for the SAAL+M Annual Juried Show. Through a jury selection process, roughly 60 pieces are selected for inclusion in the show. Each year, a number of prizes are awarded — the top one being the prestigious Onderdonk Purchase Prize. That winning piece becomes part of the SAAL+M permanent collection. Below is a list of the Onderdonk Prize recipients since 1946.
