A new exhibit every ninety days
Tucked on the second floor of the museum, the Members Gallery is one of SAAL+M's most delightfully unpredictable spaces. Since opening in 2017, this salon-style gallery has given visitors a rare chance to see — and take home — original work straight from the working artists who make up the San Antonio Art League's membership. It's a living, breathing showcase of the local art scene, and no two visits are ever quite the same.
Every few months, an entirely new lineup of artists fills the walls. Because the space is self-curated by the artists themselves, each rotation has its own distinct personality — a reflection of individual style, taste, and creative voice rather than a single guiding theme. One visit might surprise you with bold abstract work; the next could bring quiet, intimate landscapes or striking mixed media. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, there's always a reason to come back and see what's new.
Art for every taste -- and every budget
The Members Gallery features original works across a wide range of styles, mediums, and price points, making it a wonderful place to browse whether you're a serious collector or simply looking for a special piece to bring home. Everything on display is available for purchase, offering a direct connection between visitors and the artists behind the work.
The Members Gallery is included in your visit to SAAL+M and is open during regular museum hours. Stop by to explore the current rotation, discover new favorite artists, and experience firsthand why this ever-changing gallery has become a beloved part of the SAAL+M experience.
For Artists
Show your art in the Members Gallery
Current SAAL+M members are invited to share their artwork in the Members Gallery, located on the museum's second floor. Exhibitions rotate quarterly, and members may submit an online form indicating the quarters in which they would like to participate. Gallery spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with artists notified approximately one month before installation.
