Family Stars of Wonder

During the family art event on Saturday, December 12, visitors of all ages can explore the galleries and enjoy simple, star-themed creative activities designed for children and their parents, grandparents, or other accompanying adults.

Activities include decorating star ornaments, contributing to a shared community star display, and discovering the many shapes and patterns that stars inspire. A simple, self-guided gallery game will encourage participants to look closely at the artwork, notice unexpected details, and share their discoveries.

An interactive “Wonder Wall” will invite visitors to explore star shapes, learn a few facts about the night sky, and add their own drawings or thoughts about what fills them with wonder and wishes.

Activities are designed for a wide range of ages, including young children with an adult’s help. Families are welcome to drop in during the morning and participate at their own pace. Star cookies and small prizes will add to the festivities.

The San Antonio Art League + Museum is a volunteer-run community museum dedicated to making art accessible and supporting working artists. Founded in 1912, the organization continues to build community through exhibitions and visual arts programming. Admission is always free.
