Andre and Virginia Bally have been given the amazing opportunity by the San Antonio Art League and Museum, to curate a special exhibition of 3D work created by Texas Artists. We would like to invite you to be one of our exhibition members. We greatly admire each artist receiving this invitation and, in our opinion, you are truly unique. The San Antonio Art League and Museum (SAALM) is a venerable building in the heart of the King William Historic District. Built in 1896, this intimate house-turned-museum and gallery now houses over 600 works in its permanent collection, which focuses on Texas artists. Works in all media - including paintings, drawings, prints and photographs, ceramics and sculpture - are available for public viewing. Revolving contemporary exhibits highlight both local and regional artists, and represent the unique work of diverse Texas talent. We thank them for this fantastic opportunity.
This special exhibition will feature artists in various 3D media including clay, glass, wood, fiber and metal. The exhibit will run from January 3rd through February 17th, 2023. We would like each artist to provide 1 or 2 pieces. We will be creating a curator’s catalog featuring each artist’s biography and artist statement along with images of their work. This exhibition is sponsored by The San Antonio Art League and Museum (SAALM) and curated by Andre & Virginia Bally so there is no entry fee. However, please be aware that each artist must be responsible for insuring their work while being shipped and all shipping and transportation cost.
